Weather Conditions


- General Outlook: Mindanao is experiencing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon (Habagat). 


- Davao City: The weather is partly cloudy to cloudy, with a high likelihood of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms throughout the day.


- Cagayan de Oro City: Similar conditions are expected, with cloudy skies and scattered rain showers or thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon.


- General Santos City: The city will also see cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms expected throughout the day.


- Pagadian City: Cloudy conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are forecasted, especially in the afternoon.


- Iligan City: Residents can expect similar weather, with cloudy skies and scattered rain showers or thunderstorms.


- Temperature: The temperature across these areas is expected to range from a low of 24°C to a high of 32°C.


Low Pressure Area (LPA) Monitoring


PAGASA is currently monitoring two low-pressure areas:


1. One LPA is located approximately 1,155 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.

2. Another LPA is situated just outside the Philippine area of responsibility.


These LPAs may enhance the southwest monsoon, potentially leading to increased rainfall in Mindanao and other regions.


Wind and Coastal Conditions


- Winds across Mindanao are light to moderate, blowing from the southwest. Coastal waters are expected to be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.2 to 2.5 meters.
